Full title: "A Typical Night at the Hospital!"
One of the "You provide the character and I provide the content" commissions that I recently offered.
NewEnglander's vampire character, Miranda, raids the local hospitals and blood banks... which is probably a common thing for her to do. I really let my inner horror movie fan come out with this one... but don't worry, all the blood is from the plasma packs. It means that Miranda gets nourishment and nobody dies from vampire bites.
Nurse hat if for humor. My original idea was to dress her in a full nurse outfit, but white clothes on a white character don't look too good.

I tried to play around with mood and shading with this one... in particular, I was inspired by the grittiness and sepia/monotones of the Saw movies.
(For the record, the first Saw movie is one of my all time favorite horror movies... I thought the second and third ones were okay. The series should have ended after the third, since after that point the movie producers seemed to throw the idea of a storyline that actually made sense out the window in exchange for trying to make the bloodiest traps possible... which I guess is part of the fun, but I still prefer decent stories over needless blood and gore.)This one was fun to do. Bats are always a pleasure to draw.

"But that is a hurst!"
"So we are a bit.....late....."
Anyrate, yes...I did see saw, but I don't know, give me Hitchcock any day. If what you say is right I am glad I didn't see anything beyond the first one. (Most modern horror movies bore me, these sound like they would annoy me.)
*SHOWER CURTAIN TEAERS AWAY REVEALING A BUTCHER'S KNIFE! WOMAN SCREEMS! SHADOWS SHOW VIOLENCE!*....*blood flows down the drain.*
Well, that's my opinion anyways.
Hitchcock was okay... Some of his movies were good. Although "The Birds" left me very confused and I was bored to tears whenever I tried to watch "Alfred Hitchcock Presents".
I prefer the classic "Teen Slasher" movies... in particular, the early Halloween series. I've always been a bit of a Michael Myers fangirl. Don't even mention the third movie to me, though... in my mind that one might as well not even exist. :/
Yeah, I think Hitchcock was/is...like good wine, it takes a special mind to appreciate it.
At least they got it mfairly right with.....name movie....gone...guy in small town in Texas that...CHAIN SAW MASECURE! Yes...that story is 99% true. (my mother got to study the case files back when she was getting her criminal justice degree.) Scary.
All that aside, I still love the picture. =3
