[Creature Exchange] Thunder Dragon

For SithLordDeneray VIA the Creature-Exchange.

This picture was actually the first guinea pig for my alternate coloring style,  I just couldn't upload it until today.  It's actually been finished since the beginning of the month.


And because it's in the new rules for the group.  Here's my thought process behind the picture.

1. Briefly describe the design you created and any unique traits it may have:
My chosen wanted an anthro thunder dragon, but didn't specify the gender.  I went with a female dragon since I always saw thunder as being a more feminine element for some reason.

2. What features and species did you focus on to create this design?:
She has feathered wings per my chosen's request, although I was a little confused when my chosen said that they wanted scales on the wings as well.  Did they want hybrid bat/bird wings?  Did they just want scales on the "arms" of the wings?  To be on the safe side, I went with standard bird wings but with a little scale detailing. 
My chosen did want a scar over the right eye... which I forgot about until I started coloring.  The right eye can't be seen, so the scar was added to the left side.
She also has four sets of horns as was requested.
The clothing and sword was all my doing.  I know that they weren't requested, but I feel that otherwise it would have been a missed opportunity to make a really cool fantasy outfit. 
Also... raptor claws.  Just because. 

3. Which theme was chosen for this design?:
Thunder elemental and high fantasy.  While thunder was asked for as a theme by my chosen, the fantasy elements are all my doing. 
Anthro dragons and high fantasy seem to go together like peanut butter and bananas.


4. Which palette did you choose and did you make any adjustments to it?:
I mostly stuck to the palette requested.  Greenish, black and yellow was asked for, which was cool with me since I usually associate that particular palette with storms anyways.
Her main body is a dark teal.
Yellowish white was asked for when it came to the "soft parts", which is what color her tummy was originally going to be.  However, when I was cycling through blending options in Photoshop, I stumbled on this effect which made it looks like a dark metallic gold.  It was too cool not to stick with.  I instead used the paler yellow on the wings. 
Black and white were incorperated into the markings.

(Bleh... I should start woring on these closer to the deadline.  WHen I have a picture sitting around waiting to be uploaded for weeks, I sort of forget some of my thought process...)
