Young Tookie Challenge #3:
You are getting older and want to be a part of the greater Tookie Tribe. Find some nice pretty items in the jungle to present to a Tribal Tookie to gain their favor.

Thaine was becoming of age. It was customary to give the older members of the tribe small gifts to gain favor.

Thaine planned on doing one better... bypassing all of the tribe members and giving a gift right to Chief Tookie! After all, she was planning to wear the chief's crown one day so what better way to gain the chief's favor then give him pretties!

Bounding through the dense jungle, an aquamarine pendanant firmly grasped in her beak. Suddenly, the tiny treasure was ripped straight from her mouth. Looking back, she saw that the leather strap had become tangled in the tree branches.

She could not climb the trees to get it since she was no good at climbing. She jumped to try to get the shiny bauble back, but it was still just out of her reach and the jungle was too thick to try to fly up to it.

She circled around the tree and barked at the pendant, causing such a commotion that one of the tinier residents of the island came to see what was the matter.

Tsutsi was a small jerboa gryphon. While Thaine was still a small gryphon, she was a giant compared to Tsutsi.

The little one had an idea. She climbed up onto the top of Thaine's head and started to reach for the pendant. Thaine extended her neck to make herself taller to make it easier to reach.

Success! Tsutsi snatched the pendant from the branches, fluttered to the ground and held it upwards to hand it back to Thaine.

Thaine looked down at the little gryphon and decided that Tsutsi deserved it more then Chief Tookie. What has chief tookie done for her lately anyways?

"You keep it! It's a gift!"

Thaine watched the tiny tookie run off with pendant in hand. She could always find other ways to gain Chief Tookie's favor.

So yeah. Thaine's third challenge as a young tookie! I went with the act of getting the pendant out of the tree rather then the actual presentation of the gift because I felt it would be more fun to illustrate. And anyways, Tsutsi is receiving the gift right now... she just has to work for it!

Although Thaine is one of the larger of the Tookie gryphons, she still suffers from a "Napoleon Complex" thanks to her quaker parrot and small dog parts. So yeah, she really is gunning to get the Chief Tookie title one day... though she probably will never get it. XD
