With outstretched wings,
Kyvoyus blanketed the land in darkness.
From burdened black clouds, the rain fell,
covering the land in sorrow.
We knew our sins,
and that Kyvoyus would never let us see sunlight again.

(Translated from ancient Ani-Gathier texts - Note: This isn't what actually HAPPENED, but it's what the ancient Ani-Gathier believed in much like the myths and legends of our civilizations.)

Moar space art for my super secret project. I'm hoping to release it the same time as my comic this summer. It's a HUGE project so it likely won't be anywhere near completion by that time... but it should be far enough along by that time to release to the public.

Anyways...

Kyvoyus is a gas giant in the Angetha system that is named after a figure in the ancient mythologies of Ani-Gathier lore in which Kyvoyus was a giant blue birdlike deity that brought rainstorms. He was a neutral god, not taking the side of good or evil when it came to sentients... he was more seen as a protector of the planet and, according to legend, would wipe out any threat to the land... including the native sentients if they would damage their planet too much.
