[OC Training] Hungry....

Spoilers ahead, as there are a few minor plot points mentioned that will be featured in The Soul Eater Saga, a novel that I'm currently writing.

Auctus' fear is two-fold:  He spent a year as a captive of the Pirate King, Lord Kegan.  The cruelty he suffered at Kegan's hands was minimal... all things considered... but Kegan made sure to let Auctus know that he was in full control of his fate.

That leads to the second part of the fear:
From Kegan's base, a black hole named Golgotha is visible.  Kegan uses the black hole as a means to show his power, and a means of execution.  In the Azure Wheel galaxy, death by black hole is considered the worst way to die.  Not because it would be horrifyingly painful way to die, which it is... but because they believe that a black hole consumes every aspect of a person; body, mind and soul.  For those who die by black hole, there is no chance at an afterlife.  Only oblivion awaits them.
