Space illustration of Andevi and Cilior, the two planets known as "The Twins". They earned that name because they are roughly the same size and have nearly identical atmospheres. They rotate around each other on a single orbit around their sun.

Andevi is the homeworld of the Micans, though after they gained space travel technology, they began populating Cilior as well.

Cilior is much more sparsely populated then Andevi... and is much richer with resources and minerals. For the most part, there is a lack of police activity on this world when compared to other worlds in the Azure Wheel universe, so several criminal and pirate groups, such as the Forgotten Swords, have taken up base here.

This illustration... may not be scientifically accurate. They may be shown a bit closer to each other then they should be... at this distance apart I'm assuming that their gravity would rip one another apart. Putting them farther apart wouldn't have made for such a pretty picture.

I don't know. I'm not a scientist. I just pretend to be one sometimes.

This picture is a remake of one I did several years ago:

Your spacescapes are always so cool, Traci. Are these done in Photoshop or somethig else?

It's all Photoshop. I use a combination of 6 and CS4.

Somehow, that makes it even more awesome. Photoshop and I are still in a love/hate relationship.

Give PaintTool Sai a try. It's a Japanese program that's actually pretty damn good... I honestly wish that Photoshop could be more like it.
