Amazon Gryphon

The idea for this lovely lady came to me a while ago. She's a gryphon inspired by the cultures of MesoAmerica (Aztec, Mixtec, Olmec, etc...), though I took quite a few artistic liberties with the inspiration.

She is a mix of black jaguar, bat falcon, and resplendent quetzal... though now that I look at her again, I think there's a little Xatu mixed in (which honestly wouldn't surprise me since Xatu is one of my favorite pokemon).

She also features an obsidian spear and dagger as well as a belt buckle with the center face of the Aztec calender.


She was meant to be a one-time character for this picture but since I put as much love into designing one-shot characters as I do my own personal characters I figured it'd be a shame to let a pretty gal like this go to waste.
